2010-2011 Lutheran South

Leadership & Service Program

SAVED TO SERVE HOURS

Students are required to complete service hours each year at a church, school or non-profit charity organization.

Freshman & Sophomores=   20 hours

Juniors & Seniors=                 30 hours

The goal for these service hours is to encourage our students to model “leadership in service” as well as connect them to organizations where they can build long-term volunteer relationships beyond their 4 years at Lutheran South.

FAITH IN ACTION DAY

Students will attend either

October 29th or April 8th

from 8 am to 3 pm.

  • This day will begin with devotions, followed by an interactive program designed to help create awareness of a social issue facing the St. Louis area.
  • In the afternoon, students will volunteer with their Kairos group at organizations that work directly with those impacted by the social issue addressed in the morning session.
  • Brunch and transportation will be provided.
