The best way to experience Lutheran South is to schedule a visit.
- 8th Grade Visitation Days:
Students from the area Lutheran grade schools and all other interested students are invited to attend one of the four Visitation Days in September 2010. For information about the format of the day, click here: 8th Grade Visitation Schedule 2010
- Shadow Days:
Eighth grade students are invited to spend the day "shadowing" a current Lutheran South student. Shadow days may be scheduled on any regular school day at LHSS throughout the 8th grade year. Parents are asked to call to schedule the date and provide information about their child's specific interests. Generally, 8th graders stay for a full day. Complimentary lunch is provided. - "Lancers Live":
These monthly school day Open Houses provide a glimpse into high school life at LHSS for parents and anyone else interested learning more about Lutheran South. Parents may attend with or without their child. Lancers Live begins at 8:15 a.m. and features a presentation and school tour, then concludes with attendance at the LHSS chapel service, ending about 10:00 a.m. Click here for fall 2010 dates: Visit opportunities

The Next Step? Take the Explore Test!
The EXPLORE Test is a standardized test offered free of charge by Lutheran South to all prospective 8th grade students. The test is administered in each area Lutheran elementary school during October. Other interested 8th graders or those who miss the test date at school may attend a Saturday test date in November (required to be eligible for the Explore scholarship) or in February. Eighth graders who do not attend a Lutheran elementary school but who do take the Explore test at their school may submit a copy of their results to Lutheran South. Results need to be received by January 15 of the 8th grade year to be eligible for the Explore scholarships.
Explore Test dates for 2010-2011:
Saturday, November 6, from 9 a.m. to 12 noon at Lutheran South
Saturday, February 5, from 9 a.m. to 12 noon at Lutheran South
