Admissions Process

The Admissions Process begins in the fall of the 8th Grade year:

Step 1:

As part of our commitment to you, LHSS has added an important new component to our Admissions process:  an Educational Consultation with LHSS principal Brian Ryherd designed to actively engage and support you as parents in making wise educational decisions for your child.  Whether you’ve made the decision to choose Lutheran South or you are still considering your choice, this consultation will focus on your aspirations and goals for your child, maximizing choices and options for college, academic preparation, planning for future career choices, and faith and Christian leadership development.  This will also help us, should you choose South, to better serve your child.  Both parents are encouraged to attend the consultation.  At the close of the consultation, you will receive your application materials.

NOTE:  Applications continue to be accepted as of February 1, 2012, and will continue to be accepted until the class is full.

Step 2:

Complete the application materials and return them to LHSS with the $100 application fee. Make sure the forms that go to the child’s school and church are returned to LHSS.

Step 3:

Acceptance letters will be mailed beginning October 15, 2011.

Step 4 (optional according to family circumstances):

Apply for tuition assistance. Tuition assistance applications will be accepted beginning November 1, 2011.  PLEASE NOTE: Early application for tuition assistance will provide the best opportunity for a positive outcome!  Apply online at www.factstuitionaid.com or call the school office for a paper copy.
