Music Students Qualify for State

Lutheran South had 19 entries in the District Music Festival on March 6, with 7 entries earning a "1" rating and qualifying for State on May 1. To see the complete list of entries and scores, click here.

Spring Break

Lutheran South will not have classes on Monday, March 15 through March 19, for Spring Break. The school office will be open Monday through Friday, 8 - 11 a.m.

National Merit Finalists

Congratulations to seniors Marielle Counts, Eric McDonnell, and Christiana Zipay who have been named finalists in the National Merit Scholarship Program.

Daddy Daughter Dance Photos

Thanks to all the young ladies and their dads who attended the first Daddy Daughter Dance at LHSS sponsored by Close-Up Washington. The photos that were taken of each dad and daughter are available for pick up in the Lutheran South office. The office is open from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on school days.

Additional Students Qualify for Math State

Congratulations to juniors Harrison Kwon, Alexandra Stoppel, and Hannah Koehn who qualified for the State Math competition in April with their performances at the GPML contest on Febrary 6. They join previous qualifier junior Martin Liebmann.

Magazine Sales Success

Thanks everyone who helped support the Mothers' Club Magazine Sales campaign last fall. Through your efforts we earned $1788 for student activity accounts, $5391 in profit for LHSS, and $3594 in profit for Mothers' Club. Great job!

Auction Raises Over $90,000

Thanks to everyone who donated, attended, volunteered, and supported the 2009 Fantasy Faire Auction in November. The total raised for Lutheran North and Lutheran South was $93,127!

We have a bulletin board dedicated to the those serving and would like to keep it as updated as possible. We also would like to include these men and women in our prayers.

Applications for 2010-2011 

The new Lutheran South online application is now live! You may access the link by clicking on the "New Student Registration 2010-2011" button above. If you prefer to have a paper application mailed to you, please contact Mrs. Jayne Lauer as shown below. 

Lancers Live Open Houses 

Anyone interested in learning more about Lutheran South is invited to attend one of our school day open houses called "Lancers Live." Parents may attend alone or bring their child. At Lancers Live, learn how your child can grow in faith, learn for excellence, lead with integrity, and serve the Lord as a student at South; tour LHSS; conclude by attending the 15-minute chapel worship. Remaining Lancers Live dates for this school year are Fridays from 8:15 - 9:50 a.m. on March 12 and April 9 (note change from April 16). Reservations are helpful but not required to Mrs. Jayne Lauer. Transfer Students 

Openings are available in all classes at Lutheran South. Interested students may request an application by contacting the LHSS Admissions Office at 314-631-2842, ext. 426. 

Shadow Days 

If you are an eighth grade student or transfer student interested in attending Lutheran High School South, you are invited to schedule a Shadow Day to get a glimpse of what high school can be like for you as a Lancer. Please ask your parents to contact the LHSS Admissions & Community Relations Office at 631-2842, ext. 426. 

I-20 Visa Students 

Lutheran South has been approved to issue I-20 Visas to international students who meet the LHSS admission requirements and wish to enroll. For more information, click here or contact Mrs. Jayne Lauer as listed below.
